The Affordable Housing Plan for BC measures how much housing we need, the number of homes we need to build and protect to meet that need, and demonstrates how much our economy can grow with these solutions in place. Our research shows affordable homes for all is within reach.
2022 Housing Needs Assessment Explorer
Created for the 2022 municipal election campaign, this interactive tool allows users to explore demographic data for each community across BC, as well as key findings from Housing Needs Assessment reports required by 2019 provincial legislation.
2017 Affordable Housing Plan for BC
This report outlined a 10-year roadmap with specific investments in supply and income supports to substantially decrease homelessness in Metro Vancouver and British Columbia. It calls for a Housing First Approach to support the needs of people experiencing homelessness in BC, and an expansion of existing approaches of vulnerability assessments and coordinated access into the entire housing system.
