Please join us at the 2018 Housing Central Conference, Canada’s largest affordable housing conference! We are looking forward to welcoming our valued delegates to our new location in Vancouver, where we’ll be learning, celebrating and gearing up for the opportunities and growth that lie ahead for our sector.

And what a year it’s been! We’ve seen historic levels of investment in the affordable housing sector from all levels of government. There is a renewed sense of commitment to turning around the affordable housing crisis, and enthusiasm for doing so in innovative new ways. This conference is an opportunity to not only learn what’s new in housing, but also to gain practical strategies, tools and resources to help you transform that information into new projects and initiatives.

More than ever, it’s critical that we come together to seize the potential for our sector and the tremendous societal change that will be possible when we ensure everyone has access to a safe, secure and affordable home. The Housing Central partners – BC Non-Profit Housing Association (BCNPHA), Co-op Housing Federation of BC (CHF BC) and the Aboriginal Housing Management Association (AHMA) – are thrilled to once again be joining forces to bring you this conference. We recognize that it’s partnerships like these that have the power to do great things in affordable housing, and look forward to inspiring a new level of co-operation and collaboration between our members and across sectors.

We’ll be doing that with an incredible line-up of keynote speakers, including transgender advocate Tracee McDaniel, Indigenous artist and educator Eddy Robinson, TED Fellow and Street Symphony founder Vijay Gupta, health commentator Dr. Art Hister, economist Linda Nazareth and – new this year – an expert panel on addictions.

The line-up of education sessions promises three days of learning and professional growth, along with an expansive tradeshow, plenty of networking opportunities, more housing tours than ever and great social events to relax and unwind.

Be sure to mark your calendars – the 2018 Housing Central Conference is at the Sheraton Wall Centre in Vancouver from November 18 to 20. See you there!
